Look at CSRQ Dougal - such a big water baby!

Dougal is a 5 year old Springer Spaniel weighing approximately 25kg. He’s a loving, sweet-natured boy who absolutely loves his exercise - walks, swimming… honestly, any activity will do!

He walks well on leash and enjoys getting out and about, though he may occasionally be reactive to dogs larger than himself. For this reason, prospective adopters should be mindful and committed to continuing his socialisation.

Dougal adores people and thrives on being part of the family, so he would be happiest in a home where someone is around more often than not. He’s playful and affectionate but doesn’t always realise his own size and strength, which is why he won’t be rehomed to a family with young children.

A smart boy and quick learner, Dougal still has plenty of potential to shine. He would suit a family who are happy to enforce boundaries and continue his training, helping him become the very best Springer Spaniel he can be.

Dougal loves pats, people, and staying active, and he’ll truly flourish with a family who enjoys exercising just as much as he does. You won’t find a more loyal or loving companion.

As with all our dogs, ongoing support and advice is available from the CSRQ Dog Behaviourist if required.

Max is ready for adoption

Meet Max 🐾

Age: 5yrs

Breed: English Cocker Spaniel

Desexed: Yes

Location: Southeast Queensland only

Adoption fee: $750

Meet Max, a beautiful, sweet, 5-year-old Black Cocker Spaniel. Max is very loyal and loves being amongst his human tribe. He is a special soul in need of a gentle home, filled with love and comfort. Max suffers from separation anxiety and is taking medication.

Max does get quite jealous of other dogs so we believe he would suit being the only dog in his forever home. He would suit a single or couple who works from home, a retired couple, or someone who is prepared to offer him the emotional support he needs.

What Max has mastered so far:

*House trained

*Uses a doggy door like a pro

*Walks very well on a lead

*Obeys general commands

*Travels well in the car

What Max is still learning:

*To be less reactive to loud noises and voices

*To self-calm when excited or feeling separated. He is enjoying using a stuffed toy to help self-soothe.

What he needs from his new family:

*A patient family with plenty of love and cuddles

*Adults or older children (+12 years). He doesn’t like lots of loud noises.

*A willingness to be supportive

Max was originally an inside dog but had spent the past 12 months outside. While with his foster family, he really loved being able venture inside and outside, walks and lots and lots of cuddles.

Max is desexed and fully vaccinated.
