Peanut
and evenings, especially when he’s feeling happy and relaxed.
He’s not suited to homes with young children as he can startle easily, initially loud noises can phase him but he’s great with other dogs and has even lived peacefully with a cat. He has become very confident in his foster home with two other spaniels guiding and correcting his behaviour.
Peanut would thrive in a quiet and active home, ideally with another friendly dog of similar age to help build his confidence, show him the ropes and share in lots of puppy play.
He uses a doggy door confidently, is mostly house-trained (with the occasional brain fade), and loves to sleep close by, especially on the base of your bed.
He does have some separation anxiety when left alone but with patience, consistency, training and a furry friend for company, this should improve over time. Once he feels secure and relaxed, Peanut will be a fabulous and delightful housemate and a truly devoted companion.
If you’re an experienced dog owner who understands that trust takes time and training, Peanut will reward your patience with unconditional love and loyalty and seriously those beautiful puppy eyes may make you melt!

ZOE
Zoe is a sweet, sassy and gentle little spaniel looking for a family to call her own. At almost 3 years old, she’s quite petite for a spaniel which only adds to her charm.
During her time in care, Zoe has enjoyed the company of another dog and has shown lovely manners, even offering a polite play bow to her foster brother. While she gets along well with canine friends, her heart truly belongs to her human companions, soaking up every bit of affection she can.
Zoe loves going for walks and exploring the world by your side. Car trips, however, aren’t her favourite as she’s prone to carsickness, so short trips and patience will be needed while she adjusts. She’s not overly interested in toys or ball games, preferring to be near her people.
Our CSRQ vet has noted a little dental plaque, which may improve with regular dental snacks like a chicken wing from time to time. Otherwise, Zoe is a healthy little girl. Like many cockers, she’s very food motivated, but has shown no signs of food aggression while in care.
