LOOKING FOR A LITTLE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE FOR TWO VERY SPECIAL BOYS
Broker & Verserion are seeking a loving home together
This year has taken a heartbreaking turn for two beautiful Cocker Spaniels. Their human dad has become seriously unwell and sadly has been hospitalised, he may not be able to return home. With the family devastated and unable to care for them, CSRQ has stepped in to ensure these boys get the love and stability they deserve, this is all happening through no fault of their own.
Broker and Verserion have spent their whole lives side-by-side, sharing adventures, cuddles, and comfort. We would love to keep them together, so they can continue to feel safe through this big transition.
Every year, our CSRQ Calendars help fund cases like Broker and Verserion’s. We are in our final fundraising push and every calendar sold helps us:
- Rescue dogs in crisis situations
- Fund urgent medical treatment
- Give Spaniels a safe path to a happy life
If you haven’t purchased your 2025 CSRQ Calendar yet now is the time!
You’re not just buying a calendar you are helping Spaniels like these two handsome boys find their future happiness.

MEET THE BOYS
Broker (red collar)
DOB: 16 May 2017
Not desexed yet but will be before he is rehomed
Vaccinated: Needs a booster that will be done when desexed
BIN: 0002445093583
MICROCHIP: 953010002063870
Broker is a lovely man who is passionate about ball games, food, and one-on-one time. He can sometimes grumble when asked to do something he doesn't want to do (typical spaniel stubbornness) but has never lashed out. He is a happy and content man.
Broker gets along really well with female dogs but can be intolerant of other entire male dogs, we are hoping this may improve once he is desexed.
Like most spaniels he does love his food and will guard his bowl from others. Food is his love language and his meals will need to be monitored as he has a tendency to easily gain weight if over fed. He has been known to boss another dog away from their food, so separate feeding will stop this.
Verserion (blue collar)
DOB: 24 July 2017
Desexed
Vaccinated: Needs a booster that will be done at the same time as Broker.
BIN: 0002445093583
MICROCHIP: 953010002063870
This sweet man was born with blue marks on his eyes, hence his name. He was diagnosed at a young age with Endothelial Dystrophy by an ophthalmologist. He has sight, although limited, it's blurry and tunnel like. He does not need any medications for this, his eyes are simply wiped with a water soaked cloth to keep them clean (there is a report we can supply if needed).
Typical of many spaniels, he sometimes gets a sore ear that is easily treated with Miracle Ear cleaner.
Verserion is a delight, he is a calm and good boy who is easygoing, happy and hasn’t a care in the world. He really just enjoys the simple things in life.
He also loves mealtimes but isn’t fussy and can easily walk away from his bowl if his brother bosses him around. Another reason to be fed separately.
These two have so much love to give. They deserve a gentle, stable home where they can start the next chapter of their lives together.
